Description:

Saint Mary’s Hospital a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Certified Diabetes Educator RD, to join our team. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.


Under the general supervision of the Program Coordinator of the Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Care, the Certified Diabetes Educator/Registered Dietitian collaborates with other disciplines within the Center to insure the delivery of quality care to outpatients with a known or suspected diagnosis of diabetes. The dietitian will provide direct patient care and counseling to all ages of patients, particularly focusing on the adult patient. Position may require working at offsite locations.

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nutrition

  • Job Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Registered Dietitian preferred

  • Licensure: Registered Dietitian (RD), certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)

  • Certification: Certified Diabetes Educator Required

  • Job Skills: Ability to perform individual and group teaching. Ability to assess patient needs to develop/evaluate educational objectives.
