An Insight Global client is looking for multiple senior Infrastructure/Systems Engineering experts to support a large FinTech client. This will be a fully remote role. The clients Distributed Engineering team is responsible for end-to-end delivery of infrastructure solutions to external customers. The client is looking to complete a number of tasks related to merger and integration efforts. This individual will be supporting tasks from high level/end to end effort like: data center consolidations, application modernization (monolithic to microservices) and cloud migration efforts. This person will be part of an infrastructure shared service team that supports an application/product focused line of business. They will not be performing development efforts, instead they will be enabling the development and product team to be successful by making infrastructure that is secure, fault-tolerant, highly available, etc. The Senior Engineer will lead project teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that are technically sound, resilient to failure, operationally supportable, and meets the requirements of the business. Delivery of the infrastructure solution requires someone with a variety of skills including infrastructure architecture, hands-on build-out and configuration experience within Windows/Linux environments, public/private cloud knowledge, infrastructure automation expertise, and technical project leadership skills. A high degree of collaboration with Development and other IS teams is required to provide right level of agility within a defined delivery process.The ideal candidate will exhibit strong client-facing skills, leadership skills, has a motivation to mentor others, exceptional troubleshooting ability, forward thinking, experience with public cloud technologies, fluent with automation, and is proficient at working across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups. Leading and collaborating with cross-functional project teams to design and implement highly available solutions for a multitude of technologies. Working knowledge designing, implementing, and/or managing the following technologies: Azure, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Active Directory, DNS, Internet Information Server (IIS), System Center Suite (SCORCH, SCCM, SCOM), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Cluster Server, Threat Management Gateway (TMG), Apigee, Windows Server OS. Knowledge and experience working in the financial technology sector and ensuring compliance with industry standard PCI DSS 3.2 requirements Basic understanding of ITIL and change control/management processes Ability to lead a team and troubleshoot end-to-end infrastructure solution and performance challenges Ability to delegate project tasks effectively Providing technical documentation to project and operations teams as part of project deliverables. Ability to handle multi-tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work efficiently and productively with minimal direction or guidance Minimum Requirements10+ years industry IT experience within infrastructure engineering/architecture with core knowledge in Windows or Linux OSo Prior experience working in large organizations under a shared service/infrastructure as a service (IaaS) model ideally Experience leading/orchestrating/architecting infrastructure projects or solutions from end to endo Experience with internal and external customers and appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document and manage the requirements of large scale projectso Experience designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutionsBackground in infrastructure engineering/architecture with primary strength in Windows or Linux operating systems o Experience with cloud technologies, ideally both AWS/Azure and concept of public/private cloudo Working knowledge of the following concepts: Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Storage, and Backup/RecoveryExperienced in infrastructure automationo Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform (strongly preferred), CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Saltstacko Automation scripting in python, powershell, etc. Understands how to support application modernization efforts and concepts like CI/CD pipelines, containers/microservices and their related tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Kafka, etc.) Desired SkillsInfrastructure, Cloud or DevOps Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, etc. Knowledge and experience working in the financial technology sector and ensuring compliance with industry standard PCI DSS 3.2 requirements Familiarity with API Gateways and reverse proxies including Apigee and F5 APM Experience with Splunk and ExtraHop
