Shift Days & Hours: Friday - Monday, 6:00AM - 4:30PM

Ascension All Saints requires certain vaccinations in order to work onsite at its facilities. Beginning November 12th , this includes full vaccination for Covid-19.

Set your sights on a role making a real difference in the healthcare system as a Patient Registration Representative. You are the first encounter for patients, helping them start a good healthcare experience. You can take pride in providing exceptional customer service to physicians, patients, family members and all other medical professionals. You will actively participate in quality improvement and innovative change processes as well as departmental meetings and educational offerings. 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform patient registration and basic insurance verification
  • Identify and update patient demographic information
  • Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for patient registration
  • Explain processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures and ensure that all documents are properly signed and witnessed as required.
  • Interpret physician orders and coordinate patient admission needs.
  • Provide courteous and accurate patient and hospital information for patients, families, visitors, and ancillary areas.
  • Assist with account resolutions pertaining to patient balances.
  • Organize patient charts and departmental documents
  • Prepare documents for imaging/scanning into electronic patient record.
  • Copy and/or fax documents to ancillary areas or physician offices.
  • Maintain inventory control of forms and paper supplies needed in area.
  • Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Computer savvy with experience navigating between multiple systems simultaneously
  • MS Office experience and excellent typing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Completed coursework in Medical Terminology
  • Certificate in Healthcare Access
