Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate the operating cost story for the Community & State/Medicaid line of business within UHC
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial packages with an understanding of all variances and key action items by product within the Community & State segment
  • Support the overall UHC capital team with data specific to the Medicaid capital projects and inclusion of these projects and/or benefits into the forecast
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in conjunction with budgeting and forecasting processes, including other finance and business teams
  • Develop and automate reporting to drive insight into operating expense results and forecasts
  • Continually develop and refine internal financial reporting and process improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field
  • 3+ years of progressive work experience in finance or accounting and strong analytic experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MS Office product suite, and other technology tools
  • Experience and ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas
  • Experience with process creation and improvement skills
  • Experience utilizing excellent written and oral communication skills and executive presence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA and/or MBA
  • Medicaid experience
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase
