Job Summary

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Leader, based out of Montreal (or in Eastern Time zone), to help drive and manage a team of Site Reliability Engineers. As part of the Global Support Organization the SRE's lead role is to plan and drive the tasks in developing automated solutions towards operational activities such as:

  • Monitoring of MediaKind product at customer sites and/or in the cloud environment.
  • Plan the Implementing and monitoring of Automated solutions
  • Plan and implement the automation test suites and ensure test framework is reliable and requires little human capital to execute once complete.
  • Work with the India based SRE team to split shifts, work caseloads
  • Identify training gaps for SRE personnel and ensure training is planned.
  • Ensure any software or scripts developed internally is maintained in a version-controlled code repository.
  • Is well written (code/peer reviewed)
  • Is well tested from a functionality and static code analysis perspective

The Site Reliability Engineer Lead will act as the voice for the Site Reliability Engineering Montreal team and therefore interfaces with other Leads in the Support Organization and is the first Management escalation point when customer incidents are not progressing according to customer satisfaction.

Key Qualifications
  • Education: University degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum years of experience: 10 years
  • Domain experience: Media, Telecommunications, Datacom, and/or Cloud Deployments
  • Business acumen
  • Working with people and networking
  • Innovating, adapting and responding to change
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
  • Planning and Organizing

Additional Requirements
  • Comfortable with multitasking
  • Willing to work remotely on a permanent basis
