The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) is a fast-paced, impact-focused nonprofit in Silicon Valley. Our mission is to empower all youth with equitable access to social, academic, and career opportunities to thrive. We operate 14+ locations serving 2,500 TK-college youth in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City. Our budget has grown to $20M and our aspirations for youth climb higher every year.


We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator & Analyst to join our growing Impact & Evaluation team. This is a full-time role reporting to the Vice President, Impact & Evaluation based in Menlo Park with the potential for work from home arrangements. The Impact & Evaluation team is an independent department reporting directly to the CEO. The Impact & Evaluation team develops and implements tools, systems, and processes to help staff use data for continuous learning and program improvement. The Salesforce Administrator & Analyst provides critical guidance to help us monitor and evaluate our impact. This position is responsible for managing BGCP’s member information system, tracking service delivery, and reporting on key metrics of success.


This position can be either a hybrid (on-site & remote) role or fully remote role.


What will you do?

Salesforce database administration (70%)

  • Serve as the organization’s resident expert for BGCP’s member database
  • Lead the implementation of BGCP’s data systems roadmap, including staying up to date on the Boys & Girls Clubs of America MyClubHub rollout
  • Provide administrative, account management, and technical support for Salesforce CRM and Exponent Case Management in collaboration with IT and Operations teams
  • Design and execute database systems and protocols, including user account access, batch uploads, and data migration
  • Streamline enrollment tools and processes using Microsoft products such as Forms and Power Automate in conjunction with Salesforce CRM
  • Train staff at multiple levels to effectively utilize BGCP’s member information system
  • Ensure data integrity and data privacy by developing and revising, as needed, organizational standards and policies
  • Track issues and respond to requests for improvements and/or modifications to the member information system
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new features and functionalities with Salesforce


Analysis and reporting (30%)

  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce, and other platforms such as Tableau for quality assurance, program monitoring, and annual reports
  • Collaborate with Program to design and automate monthly, quarterly, and end-of year reports on service delivery relative to historical trends
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends in data that help guide decision making
  • Clean and analyze data for BGCP’s annual Report to Stakeholders and other grant/donor requests
  • Collaborate with other members of the Impact & Evaluation team to ensure consistency and alignment of data collection and reporting


What will success look like?

  • BGCP’s member database is up-to-date and accurate
  • Program participation data is complete, high quality, and entered on a timely basis
  • BGCP’s member database is easy to use and staff-centered
  • Staff and leadership access reports and dashboards that let them know whether program goals are being met


What qualifications will the ideal candidate have?

  • 3-5 years working as a Salesforce Administrator, ideally an environment managing 200+ user accounts
  • Thorough knowledge/experience working with custom fields, validation rules, workflow rules, process flows in Salesforce
  • Salesforce certification highly desired
  • Moderate to advanced analytical skills around hypothesis-driven testing and data exploration/mining, utilizing MySQL, R scripts, and other tools as needed to maintain and automate reports
  • Demonstrated skills building user-friendly data visualizations, preferably using Microsoft Suite and/or Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven track record working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be self-directed, and take initiative
  • Familiarity with Salesforce native apps, such as Mogli SMS, RollupHelper, and Conga a plus!
