This is a high-visibility, hands-on position that serves as a primary interface between MarCom and Product/Segment Marketing Managers across a diverse portfolio of products globally.The MarCom Manager works closely with marketing as a creative and strategic advisor/consultant in the creation of effective and high-quality marketing tactics and materials including brochures, videos, print and digital advertisements, digital marketing assets, tradeshow messaging, webinars, and campaigns.The MarCom manager will have a primary role in writing and developing communications programs. The MarCom Manager is responsible for helping to establish a consistent brand and voice across a wide range of product collateralESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Advise Marketing Managers on best methods and specific types of collateral to achieve their goalsTake ownership of content in printed and online collateralDefend, champion, and evolve the voice of the Cepheid brandManage and complete a variety of production assignments as neededHelp develop PowerPoint presentationsCollaborate on employee-facing materialsEffectively manage outside contractorsTRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on timeFor people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience (in years):Bachelor's Degree Communications, Marketing, or industry-related field or 5 or more years in MarCom related work ORMaster's degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience ORDoctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.Knowledge and skills:Superior writing skills (copy development, editing, headline creation, etc.)Skilled on Mac platform, Adobe Creative Suite of products, and Microsoft Office appsAbility to work independently and collaborate in fast-paced team environmentsComfortable working under tight deadlines on multiple projectsExcellent time management skillsExperience working in healthcare/life sciences industry a plusCepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
