About the role

Manager, Strategic Initiatives will work with all Oscar partners and representing the needs and interests of department in company wide projects.

You will guide project coordination and management from creation to completion, solving problems and escalating issues and will work across different projects and partners at the same time.

You will report to the Associate Director, Strategy. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic initiatives to meet departmental goals
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of implementations/projects, including project plan creation, business engagement/management, edge case mitigation and completion
  • Provide leverage to departmental leadership by taking on important ad-hoc projects;
  • Be a departmental advocate
  • Help with strategy development and formulation for assigned departments
  • Collaboratively works with all relevant internal and external partner groups to guide implementation, communications and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation plans
  • Manage assigned performance metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies
  • Manage relationships to promote multi department collaboration
  • Help with vitals planning process for department including reporting on progress, ensuring collaboration identifying and mitigating areas of risk and developing goals and important results.
  • Partner with Product Management team to support development for system changes
  • Develop direct reports, ensuring that colleagues are supported in professional development

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in program management
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience using data to drive improvements in programs
  • Experience delivering projects independently and within a team environment
  • Accomplished enterprise-wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support

  • Lean/Six Sigma Certifications
  • PMP Certifications or Program Management Certifications
  • Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)
