Role Overview

The role of the Senior Sales Support Analyst is to write compelling proposals and presentations that effectively articulate company sales strategy for prospective and existing clients. They develop, manage, and lead the proposal or presentation project plan. Senior Sales Support Analysts will work directly in collaboration with client teams and the sales team on specific sales opportunities, creating and delivering presentations and proposals, developing competitive communications on how the product can meet client and prospect needs and articulating product functionality. Senior Sales Support Analysts work independently and receive a moderate level of guidance and direction. They work on projects where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of internal and external factors and solve complex problems, taking a new perspective using existing solutions. Senior Sales Support Analysts develop and manage operational initiatives to deliver tactical results and lead projects of moderate scope, risks and resource requirements. They also act as a resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Sales team, identify the scope of new opportunities to understand the design and solution that meets customer specifications.
  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs) and related documents to understand and capture specific operational, administrative and proposal requirements.
  • Develop project plan to identify key milestones, timeline, status, and all project deliverables.
  • Use proposal database content to craft responses and collaborate with/Interview SMEs to write and edit new content and client-specific content, adhering to company branding and style guidelines.
  • Handle multiple revisions and maintain version control.
  • Edit proposal sections and ensure that proposals maintain a consistent tone or voice.
  • Present information to, and effectively communicate with, senior leadership and other key individuals.
  • Schedule and coordinate all individual and group proposal reviews, and touchpoints with senior leadership and other key individuals.
  • Create Executive Summaries and lead team in developing executive summary strategy.
  • Lead less experienced team members in drafting proposal responses, collecting and submitting proposal exhibits, attachments, appendices relevant to assigned sections.
  • Maintain and update database with approved content.

Qualifications

Minimal

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master's degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience (healthcare proposal/RFP content writing experience).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits management and related healthcare industry practices.
  • Proven ability to distill large amounts of detail into logical narrative and storylines.
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience In Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be adaptable, able to adjust to changing deadlines and requirements on the fly.
  • Demonstrates confidence interacting with and providing direction to all levels of the organization.
  • Writing samples may be requested.

Preferred

  • Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English or similar field of study. 5+ years of healthcare proposal/RFP content writing experience with relationship management and interviewing skills.
