Exago is a 15 year old, privately held, growing and financially stable software company operating in the very hot business intelligence and analytics space. Our culture is built upon openness, integrity and a strong sense of one's own accountability. Our internal motto is "I'm my own CEO." We have been selected as a Connecticut Tech Top 40 Company by Marcum over the past 4 years and are a highly rated embedded BI vendor on G2Crowd. This is an exciting time to join the Exago team as we expand our client base across every vertical and multiple geographies. If you want to join a company where you can make an immediate impact Exago may be the right place for you.

We believe that a user's first impression with the application or feature will serve as the foundation for future experiences both positive or negative. By combining our own unique, individual perspective with a deep understanding of an application's systems and use cases, diverse feedback on engineering processes, product design choices and code change implications can occur. We design, we develop and we review test systems, test strategies and product quality processes to protect the stability of the application from future product changes that could inhibit everyday users from the value we set out to provide.

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or comparable programming knowledge/experience.
  • 2+ years or professional experience in software development.
  • Working knowledge of a modern code language.
  • A self-starter with a can do attitude. We need engineers who can overcome technical challenges with creativity and polish. Our mantra is "Be your own CEO."
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
Bots are programmed to execute a desired set of tasks continuously. Bots are not encouraged to apply. Although there is some level of daily repetition to the role, to list exactly what tasks and/or assignments a Senior Test Automation Engineer at Exago will encounter would be a crime and a contradiction to the "Be your own CEO" culture we promote internally. However, here is some insight in the type of work you will be engaged in.

Areas of Focus
  • Implementing new testing infrastructure to parts of the application not covered by automated testing.
  • Authoring new automated test scripts using Selenium C# and other code libraries.
  • Collaborating with the development team on strategies to improve the testability of the application code base.
  • Implementing new testing environments and maintaining existing test infrastructure.
  • Assisting with technical direction and guidance for fellow automation engineers.
Benefits
  • Casual and close-knit team environment
  • Flexibility - work hard and take time off when you need it.
  • Ability to work full time remotely
  • Competitive compensation, health care, 401(k)
  • Occasional laughter
