The Director of Business Development, Software Alliances  position for the Realogy Franchise Group and shared product organization plays a critical role in achieving this goal. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, where the successful candidate will:
  • Align with senior leadership to deliver upon the open-ecosystem strategy, goals, and objectives, growing strategic partners integrated to the platform, and ensure a smooth handoff for these new partners for technical integration, and marketing to our customers.

  • Identify, incubate, and develop new opportunities to partner with strategic stakeholders across the real estate product marketplace.

  • Partner across brands and shared services within product, alliances, marketing, operations, and technology, to ensure the right customers’ needs are being met.


  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategic alliance lifecycle, from concept to contracting, leading to the addition of new SaaS partners and integrations to our open-ecosystem platform.

    This includes, but is not limited to, development of roadmap, competitive analysis, pilot, and rollout strategy, driving awareness, coordination of marketing content, ROI measurement and adoption and KPI development.

  • Work closely with cross-functional peers to ensure proper hand-off from development to technology integration.

  • Communicate succinctly and effectively the “why” when engaging with new/existing vendors to ensure internal alignment and ultimately adoption from our customer set.

  • Drive decision-making using qualitative and quantitative data insights from around the organization to ensure alignment and remedy to pain points in the process.

  • Develop, monitor, and demonstrate positive change for key business measures that define product and program success and profitability (KPIs, OKRs, NPS, etc.)

  • Identify unmet industry needs and disruption opportunities, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products to market.

  • Partner with multiple teams, building processes which deliver products that satisfy the needs of customers.

  • Present internally regarding plan, initiatives, and status updates, on a regular basis.


  • Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience building alliances in a SaaS/platform/technology setting, delivering on an aligned set of KPI’s from a direct sales perspective, but also throughput on the integration and effectiveness of the partners.
  • Knowledge of SaaS products, API frameworks & technology best practices
  • Ability to develop a target list and prioritization process for potential sales targets and partners, aligning with multiple priorities from across the matrix of the organization, and closing that business.
  • Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, ultimately aligning long term vision with iterative execution
  • Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technology dimensions. Deep fluency and experience in at least two of these dimensions, with solid understanding of the third
  • Demonstrated success in a highly matrixed organization that relies on building support in other groups and the ability to influence through others, deliver results, and earn trust quickly of the organization and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills - someone who is an engaging storyteller and is at ease presenting to peers and executives.
  • Proven track record of delivering best in class, break-through digital products.
  • Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making.
  • BA or BS required within relevant field, MBA and/or additional certifications preferred.
  • Residential real estate brokerage knowledge preferred but not required
  • ​​​​​​​Ability to travel ~25%-35%, when applicable.
