This position is within Optum Health and supports the Musculoskeletal (MSK) pillar of Complex Specialty products and services. MSK helps to manage the medical expenses for a population by providing support services and tools that enable consumers to make informed decisions, manage their physical health conditions and optimize their health.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, perform, and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures of a half a billion-dollar product suite
• Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
• Develop, perform, and manage all aspects of financial planning with end to end P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting including revenue, membership, SG&A, and IOI
• Work closely with the business to develop, establish, and recommend strategies, plans, and processes to improve revenue forecasting and reporting
• Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders
• Partner with the business to communicate financial results including variance analyses and establish a positive working relationship
• Coordinate and understand the financial impact of intersegment agreements between Optum and UHC entities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (sumif, vlookup, pivot tables)
• Experience working with and interpreting large amounts of data

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Hyperion Essbase / Smartview
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
• Experience in financial planning, modeling and analysis including forecasting, month-end and forward looking income statements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Solid executive presence
• Self-driven to manage independent projects and creatively solve problems
