Job Description

The Mandiant Threat Intelligence team is currently seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the API team. You will be responsible for helping to maintain existing APIs and design new APIs to support both the Mandiant Advantage platform and API use by our various customers. You will leverage your expertise in software development methodologies and best practices to help our team deliver high quality, performant, and scalable software. You’ll also be working directly with various security experts and customer support teams to fully understand our data and how we can provide the best solutions on the front line of cyber security to keep millions of users safe. Our highly collaborative teams rapidly release software in an environment where innovation is applauded, continuous integration is a focus, and you contribute to the vision and direction of our success. 

What You Will Do:  

  • Design and implement technical solutions to solve complex problems and projects 
  • Help ensure code quality, standards, and best practices 
  • Be a technical leader and mentor engineers on the team  
  • Lead technical and planning sessions with key people and teams to complete tactical projects 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Minimum of 4+ years experience in an engineering role working on back-end development and dev-ops 
  • Expert understanding of REST APIs 
  • Minimum of 4+ years experience in Strong programming skills with Go (Golang) & Python 
  • Experience with various database technologies (Elasticsearch, Postgres, etc.) 
  • Distributed messaging frameworks (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.) 
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience working on Container solutions (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) 
  • CI/CD tools (Argo, Helm, Puppet, Terraform, etc.) 
  • working experience with AWS (Lambdas, EC2, S3, etc.) 
  • Experience with DNS, CDNs, web performance, and caching 

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Familiarity with cyber security 
  • Understanding of data architecture best practices, Java, Redis, gRPC, GraphQL, etc.
