Vision Analytics Sales & Business Development Director - $150k to $300k base +commission

Our client has developed ground breaking deep technology focused on making AI broadly accessible to enterprises and people. Their silicon architecture and innovative software platform empower designers to exploit the benefits of AI and lead the largest tech transformation in decades.

This role is a great opportunity to join a pioneering AI company at initial commercialization stage to play formative role in adoption of Vision Analytics AI solutions driving the future of AI at the Edge, multi-billion dollar market opportunity. This is key position responsible for driving sales (75%) and business development (25%) of transformative AI compute solutions that both displace legacy offerings and open doors to previously unfeasible AI inferencing edge use cases with large-scale customer advantages.

The Vision Analytics Sales & Business Development Director will draw on first-hand knowledge of market leading customers and ecosystem to propel pipeline development of uses cases that support rapid design wins and revenue growth. Compensation is structured with significant variable upside aligned with this focus. Candidates MUST bring experience and skills in developing initial pipelines for early stage pioneering companies, while managing sales processes and development of global sales teams in support of that goal.

Responsibilities

  • Build robust opportunity pipeline and establish long-term business relationships with partners and customers with strategic relevance to future product roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable customer success for optimal time to revenue
  • Manage customer expectations for high level of customer satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate global sales teams to drive demand and create and grow opportunities and accounts
  • Expand and leverage customer ecosystem relationships in the edge computing market
  • Build effective relationships with industry-specific partners, channels and distributors
  • Establish process to drive effective joint business planning and execution with partners
  • Formulate sales incentives and effective systems to establish sales goals and measure results
  • Manage monthly forecasting, sales opportunities and account business plans
  • Individual contributor role, that will eventually build a global sales team


You MUST have experience specifically with sales of boards. Not just Chips, but board where there is System on Chip. You MUST have sold System on a Chip OR have been hardware focused and selling hardware with AI applications.

Ideally current or previous employees of Xilinx, Intel, Nvidia with hardware sales experience or strong semiconductor backgrounds; however any previous employer will be considered, so long as it's an FPGA / Semiconductor company.

Our client is founded by ex-Intel PhD level engineers, and they're delivering the next generation of energy-efficient computing with some revolutionary innovations in architecture, but also in software and systems. The products enable unique computational requirements and are targeted at the exploding AI solutions market. Their products include smart homes, smart cities, video surveillance, smart drones and driverless cars, but they are working on many more and will likely change the world. They are now at the commercialization stage, they are shipping product, generating revenue and expanding to meet demand with customers across a range of growth market sectors.

Requirements
  • MUST have sold System on a Chip OR have been hardware focused and selling hardware with AI applications
  • Current or previous employees of Xilinx, Intel, Nvidia with hardware sales experience or strong semiconductor backgrounds; OR any previous employer, so long as it's an FPGA / Semiconductor company
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of business development and sales experience in technology
  • Hands-on experience selling current leading legacy AI silicon, modules and systems into the AI ecosystem
  • Deep experience and strong ecosystem network in Embedded and Edge Computing markets
  • Experience selling AI solutions in robotics, embedded camera, or video analytics segments
  • Strong experience and knowledge of use cases in end-markets such as retail, industrial, manufacturing, security, healthcare, medical, and smart city
  • Technical foundation and strong business knowledge of AI industry with skills to provide value-add in solving partner and customer challenges
  • Proven track record of successfully growing and exceeding revenue targets for innovative, new and ground-breaking industry solutions
  • Experience in identifying and qualifying prospects for product alignment to enable efficient paths to revenue opportunities
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed sales teams and complex sales cycles
