We have a dynamic opportunity for a Front-End Software Developer with JavaScript skills. The preferred location in order of preference is San Diego, CA or remote within the US. The position will be in support of the US Navy's Office of Naval Research.

Job Summary:
In this role you will work as a software developer joining a small team of developers supporting Navy application development. You will work hand-in-hand with software developers to ensure successful software execution through Agile software development practices.
Joining our team, you will be assisting the Battlespace Awareness and Information domain, working with other developers to support frontline warfighters. Using industry trending technologies like React/Redux, NoSQL, you will develop and design new web applications in JavaScript and HTML 5 in a Linux environment. The team currently uses the SCRUM methodology of development to meet their customer's needs on a four week sprint cycle.
Required Qualifications:
Position requires US citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance.
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4-8 years of related experience.
Must be proficient with JavaScript, HTML5, and JSX.
Proficiency in React, Node.js, and related JavaScript frameworks such as Jest, create-react-app are strongly recommended.
Help recommend the best designs to the customer based on their needs and resources.
Complete software tasks within a four week sprint based on your estimates.
Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
Document, manage configuration, test, and debug software products.
Experience with API design.
Experience with PKI client and server Certificates.
Experience with a version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with JavaScript package management utilities (e.g., npm, yarn)
Comfortable with Confluence / JIRA for documentation and ticket tracking.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to be proactive and voice opinions when identifying issues/concerns.
Desirable Qualifications:
Be CSWF Eligible that requires a Linux+ or equivalent, and an IA Certificate (Security+, CISSP, Linux or Windows OS, etc.).
Experience with be Java and backend technologies a plus. (e.g., JBoss, Apache Tomcat, etc.).
Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
Experience developing in Linux in a virtualized environment.
Experience working in government/defense labs and their computing restrictions.
