As an Actuarial Consultant, you will join an elite team providing actuarial solutions for payers with Medicare and Medicaid programs. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Medicare Advantage Part C and Part D bid development, desk review, and audit
  • Perform data queries, analyses, and prepare exhibits and communications with minimal supervision
  • Develop into a subject matter expert
  • Understand and interpret regulatory changes, including the Medicare Advantage program
  • Supporting ad-hoc actuarial analyses, financial forecasts, and other practice development initiatives needed
  • Execute creative problem solving and critical thinking on the job
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with our broader product teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of Actuarial experience in the health field, preferably in Medicare Advantage with a demonstrated understanding of the Medicare Advantage program
  • Ability to quickly learn and use computer software tools effectively
  • Expertise working in MS Excel, and working proficiency with SAS and VBA
  • On the Actuarial exam track, with a minimum of 2 exams passed

Preferred Qualification:

  • Superior communication and project management skills in a remote environment

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
