Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

This Senior Recruiter will support several facets of the organization (e.g. Finance, People, Sales, Legal, etc.). You will partner with the business to accomplish the best candidate experience, and engage with top talent. We work fast, hard and smart. We listen to creative ideas to make us better. And, we have fun while we're doing it!

This is a full-cycle recruiting role, so you get to do everything: understand your hiring team, define jobs and specs, do plenty of heads-down sourcing, run the assessment process, and own the offer and close.

You will report to the Associate Director of Recruiting. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic talent partner to the internal stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with hiring leaders partners to establish and deliver the recruiting processes
  • Source, engage, and hire qualified candidates for different departments
  • Manage a passive funnel, applicant funnel, and promote referrals
  • Build interview plans
  • Prepare offers, create strategic closing plans, negotiate compensation packages, and ultimately sign top candidates
  • Understand the market and come up with creative ways to connect with the right talent
  • Work with the recruiting team to ensure great candidate experience
  • Requirements :

  • You have 5+ years of successful recruiting experience
  • You are metrics-minded and let the numbers guide your approach
  • You're a relationship builder and proactively engage with hiring managers and candidates
  • You are well-versed in using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools to source a diverse set of candidates
  • Bonus points:

  • Experience recruiting both in-house and agency-side, or in startups, tech, healthcare or insurance
  • You're familiar with Greenhouse or a similar Applicant Tracking System
  • Life at Oscar:

At Oscar, being an Equal Opportunity Employer means more than upholding discrimination-free hiring practices. It means that we cultivate an environment where people can be their most authentic selves and find both belonging and support. We're on a mission to change health care -- an experience made whole by our unique backgrounds and perspectives.

We aim to make health care affordable and accessible for all, and apply this same vision to our perks and benefits, including: medical benefits, generous paid-time off, paid parental leave, retirement plans, company social events, stocked kitchens, wellness programs, and volunteer opportunities.
