Role: Digital Electronic Design Engineer
Location: commutable from Bristol + Bath with some home working
Salary: competitive + benefits
My client is looking to hire a Digital Electronic Design Engineer, this role is critical to the successful performance of the electronics team, so expectation is of a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an engineering design environment using the essential skillset stated.
Daily Role:
" Your role will be to do Product design to include digital, software and some analogue design.
" Ability to support and upgrade existing products.
" Design and development of new Products as identified by Senior Management
" Creation of design documentation. Creation of requirement specifications for any outsourced manufacturing including Bill of Materials, PCB layouts, schematics, Engineering Change Notes, Assembly instructions, Component requests.
Must have skills:
" Proven track record of digital circuit design
" Good understanding of FPGA, ARM, CLPD and PIC devices.
" Good understanding of VHDL, C also AHDL
" Good understanding of serial communications protocols
" PCB design including SMD components on multi-layer boards with high speed signals
" High level of PC literacy, familiar with Linux OS
Desired skills:
" Proven track record of analogue circuit design
" Experience of analogue and digital circuit simulation
" Cadence software (schematic capture and PCB layout)
" Experience of software / firmware programming languages
Other information:
You will be working a 38 hour week and start between 8am-9am, Monday to Friday Finish between 4.30pm-5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 2.30pm Friday
